Myanmar Consumers Union celebrated 5th Anniversary of MCU and held Discussion on Consumer Protection Draft Law on Orchid Hotel, Yangon on November 18, 2017.
MCU Patrons, Advisors, Members from Yangon, Mandalay, Naypyitaw, and Mawlamyaing attended the event. Moreover, invited guests from related governmental departments, other partner NGOs, and journalists from news and medias also attended the ceremony of MCU’s 5th Anniversary and participated on “Discussion on Consumer Protection Draft Law”.
Therefore, after the 5th Anniversary MCU was celebrated, “Discussion on Consumer Protection Draft Law” was held by MCU for preliminary discussion on Consumer Protection Draft Law recently announced in the state own newspaper in late October 2017. It was announced that “Public Consultation Workshop on Consumer Protection Draft Law’ will be organized soon by MCU to get public consultation from various organizations for the law.
