Myanmar Consumers Union (MCU) celebrated World Consumer Rights Day Ceremony at Diamond Jubilee Hall, University of Yangon in the morning of March 15th, 2019 with support of USAID by PSDA. In the same day, MCU conducted “Campaign on Consumer Rights” at People’s Park and People’s Square on March 15th, 2019 (3:00 to 6:00 pm). The campaigns was aimed at raising awareness of consumer rights and World Consumer Rights Day to general public at the People’s Square. The hats describing WCRD and 8 consumer rights and pamphlets are distributed to those who took the photos background with WCRD posters.
Groups of youth from many organizations joined MCU Campaign for Consumer Rights as volunteers and shared consumer education to public at People’s Square.
After campaign was successfully conducted, President of MCU, Prof. Dr. Mar Mar Kyi expressed her special thanks to all volunteers of World Consumer Rights Day – 2019 and appreciated their benevolent spirits.
