Myanmar Consumers Union (MCU) conducted Raising Awareness of Consumer Rights at Sagaing University of Education (SUoE) on January 14, 2019. Deputy-Rector of SUoE, Dr. Myat Myat Thaw welcomed with opening remark. Then Deputy-Rector presented the gifts to Secretary of MCU, U Maung Maung, Salai Naing Haikawn, EC Member, Secretary of MCU-Mandalay, U Htet Win Hlaing.
MCU provided consumer education in six programs and highlighted “Consumer Rights”. MCU also introduced “Online Consumer Complaint Mechanism”. When a consumer received deceptive or poor products or services, consumer can complain them with evidence like receipt, advertisement, warranty card, etc., urged MCU Secretary.
